∃B:∀A: ¬(A∈B) - Freedom explained logically
27/04/2018 › 12/05/2018 van 19:00 tot 18:00
What happens, when the lines between artists, curators and artworks are crossed? Students of Heinrich-Heine-University Duesseldorf, the Art Academy Duesseldorf and the Sint Lucas School of Arts Antwerp want to explore this question in a joint project. Two exhibitions, one in Düsseldorf and one in Antwerp, dedicated to the freedom of the artistic and curatorial process of creation, will be conceived in an international context. The exhibition room ‘Weltkunstzimmer’ at Düsseldorf and the St Laurentius site at Antwerp will act as places of symbiosis, where all participants will live, work and exhibit together.
The result of the process is aimed to be a performative version of an art show.
The title of the show "∃B:∀A: ¬(A∈B) - freedom explained logically" was created based on the project-manifesto which you can find at www.freedomexplainedlogically.com
The opening at St Laurentius in Antwerp will take place on 27th of April 2018 - 7pm.
During the exhibition, there will be some fringe events.
