Eleanor Duffin and Susan Jacobs
23/04/2017 › 29/04/2017 van 10:00 tot 18:00
From the 23rd to the 29th April Eleanor Duffin and Susan Jacobs will work together in the Showroom space at St Lucas. The situation they’ll create will not be essentially a fully formed exhibition but something that is in motion, where the half formed work will come together to change shape and position, for the work to be a modular thing where there is no set position. The overall idea is that the Showroom space is a “test kitchen” or “laboratory”, an in-between space that is neither gallery nor studio, a rehearsal for an exhibition.
‘Both of us are heavily concerned with ideas of ingestion and internal/external body. We really wanted to create a moment where we can talk not just verbally about our relationships to materials but also in a tactile way’ E. Duffin
In collaboration with Wayne Daly the process will be documented in a printed “publication” afterwards in which the dialogue will be continued.
On the evening of the 27th of April (6-8pm) there will be a talk about
the idea of the co-worker, not just human but material and animal.
Participants: Eleanor Duffin, Susan Jacobs, Wayne Daly, and guests
