[NL] De Master in Beeldend Onderzoek is de perfecte vervolgopleiding op de master in beeldende kunsten. Hierdoor wordt de mogelijkheid geboden om een master van in totaal 120 studiepunten te doen. Binnen een internationale context is dit een troef. Ook voor wie nog een jaar wil bijstuderen of zich wil voorbereiden op een doctoraat is de Master in Beeldend Onderzoek de juiste keuze.

Method | Methode

[ENG] This Master-after-Master programme is unique in Flanders. It is intended for particularly gifted Masters graduates wishing to extend their studies in artistic research. This includes artists and designers, but also Masters graduates who can present a valuable artistic research project. The Master of Research in Art and Design offers students the space to further develop their insights and skills. Students’ personal artistic development will be encouraged through the preparation of an individual and original curriculum. Of great importance is their research in the visual arts, whereby work process, methodology and reflection correlate with the artistic work. As a research and monitoring platform, the Master of Research in Art and Design aims to provide young researchers with the necessary support for the further development of their personal artistic project. Visiting lecturers from Belgium and abroad will provide the necessary critical feedback. The training will lead to a Master’s degree recognized by the Ministry of Education.

[NL] Deze master-na-masteropleiding is uniek in Vlaanderen. Ze richt zich op bijzonder getalenteerde masters die zich verder willen verdiepen in het beeldend onderzoek. Dit kunnen kunstenaars en vormgevers zijn maar ook andere afgestudeerde masters die een waardevol artistiek onderzoeksproject kunnen voorleggen. De Master in Beeldend Onderzoek biedt ruimte om inzichten en vaardigheden verder te ontwikkelen. Via een individueel en eigenzinnig curriculum wordt de persoonlijke artistieke ontplooiing gestimuleerd. Centraal staat het onderzoek in de beeldende kunst waarbij proces, methodologie en reflectie correleren met het artistieke werk. Als onderzoeks- en begeleidingsplatform wil de Master in Beeldend Onderzoek jonge mensen de nodige ondersteuning geven om hun persoonlijk artistiek project verder uit te bouwen. Gastdocenten uit binnen- en buitenland geven hierbij de nodige kritische feedback. De opleiding wordt afgesloten met een masterdiploma erkend door het ministerie van Onderwijs.

- A Master's degree in Visual Arts or equivalent.
- A completed application form (+ portfolio).
- Registration before August 27th 2010.
- An application interview on September 1st 2010.
- The number of students is limited to 10.

- Een Master in Beeldende Kunsten of een hiermee gelijkgesteld diploma.
- Een volledig ingevuld aanvraagformulier (portfolio en toelichting van het artistiek onderzoeksproject).
- Het inleveren van een aanvraag voor 2010-2011 kan tot 27 augustus 2010.
- Het toelatingsgesprek vindt plaats op 1 september 2010.
- De instroom is beperkt tot 10 studenten.
